Gravel, Stone & Topsoil Delivery in Champaign County, OH

We run our own dump trucks, so material delivery is not a favor we do between jobs. It is a service we schedule and show up for. Gravel, limestone, sand, fill dirt, and screened topsoil, delivered by the load anywhere in our service area.

We can dump it in a pile for you to move, or spread it with a skid steer or dozer while the truck is there, which is usually cheaper than you renting a machine to move it yourself.

How it goes

The sequence, step by step.

You should know what happens next at every stage. Here is how we run this job.

  1. 01

    Pick the material

Tell us the job and we will tell you the material. Driveway base, finish stone, pipe bedding, and topsoil are all different products and using the wrong one is expensive.

  2. 02

    Estimate the quantity

We calculate tonnage from your area and depth so you are not paying for a load you did not need or short by half a truck.

  3. 03

    Confirm access

A loaded tandem is heavy. We confirm the truck can reach the drop point without tearing up a lawn or getting stuck.

  4. 04

    Deliver and place

Dumped where you want it, or spread with a machine while we are on site.

Common questions

Gravel & Dirt Delivery FAQ

Real answers, including the numbers people actually want.

A rough rule: one ton of crushed limestone covers about 80 to 100 square feet at 2 inches deep. For a new drive you want more depth than that across base and finish courses. Give us your length and width and we will calculate the tonnage.

#57 is a clean, uniform washed stone with no fines. It drains well, which makes it right for pipe bedding and drainage, but it stays loose and shifts underfoot. #304 is crushed limestone with fines mixed in, so it packs hard and locks together, which is what you want for a driveway base.

A tandem dump truck typically carries about 10 to 15 tons depending on material density and legal load limits. For larger jobs we run multiple loads or bring a trailer.

Yes. We can spread with a skid steer or dozer while we are on site, which almost always costs less than renting a machine and doing it yourself.
