Aerobic treatment units inject oxygen into the wastewater so bacteria break it down far more aggressively than a passive tank ever could.
The result is effluent clean enough to discharge into a small drip field, a sand filter, or in permitted cases a surface discharge, which is why aeration systems are the standard replacement for failing systems on tight Central Ohio lots.
We sell, install, and service aeration systems, and we will tell you up front whether your property actually needs one. They cost more and they require ongoing service, so we do not recommend one where a conventional system will pass.

Units are rated in gallons per day. We size to the home and specify a unit your county health district already approves.

Service plan
Most manufacturers require ongoing service to keep the warranty valid, and many counties require a service contract on file. We handle those visits.

The treated effluent is clean enough for a much smaller distribution field, which is why they work on lots where a standard leach field will not fit or will not pass.
It depends on the unit, the distribution method, and site conditions. Aeration systems cost more than a conventional system up front and carry ongoing service and electrical costs, but on a lot with bad soil they are often the only permittable option. We give a firm number after the soil evaluation, not before.
Yes, and this is not optional. The aerator runs continuously and the compressor, diffusers, and filters are wear items. Most manufacturers require documented service to keep the warranty, and many Ohio counties require an active service contract on file for the permit to stay in good standing.
Usually a failed aerator or compressor, a stuck float, or a pump that is not keeping up. The alarm is a high-water warning. It means the system is not moving water the way it should. Call us before you keep using water heavily; that is what turns a repair into a replacement.
