Concrete Core Drilling Services in Champaign & Clark County, OH

When a line has to pass through concrete, you core it. Hammering a hole through a foundation wall cracks the wall, wrecks the waterproofing, and leaves a mess that will never seal properly around the pipe.

We core drill through foundation walls, basement slabs, footers, and structural concrete for plumbing, electrical conduit, HVAC, radon mitigation, and sump discharge. Clean edges, accurate placement, and a hole that can actually be sealed.

How it goes

The sequence, step by step.

You should know what happens next at every stage. Here is how we run this job.

  1. 01

    Mark and verify

We confirm placement on both sides and check for rebar, post-tension cable, and embedded conduit before drilling anything structural.

  2. 02

    Anchor the rig

The core rig is anchored so the bit runs true. That is what produces a straight, clean hole instead of a wallowed-out one.

  3. 03

    Wet core

Water cools the bit and controls dust. We contain and manage the slurry rather than letting it run across a finished basement floor.

  4. 04

    Extract and clean

Core removed, hole cleaned, site left ready for the plumber or electrician to sleeve and seal.

Common questions

Concrete Core Drilling FAQ

Real answers, including the numbers people actually want.

It depends on diameter, wall or slab thickness, access, and whether the concrete is heavily reinforced. Multiple holes on the same trip cost far less per hole than separate visits. Call for a free estimate.

Yes, poured walls, block walls, footers, and slabs. We check for rebar before drilling anything structural, and we will tell you if a proposed location is a bad idea structurally rather than just drilling it.

Wet coring produces slurry, so there is water involved. We contain and vacuum it. It is far less disruptive than dry cutting, which fills a finished space with concrete dust.

We handle everything from small conduit penetrations up through large diameter holes for sewer and water service lines. Tell us the pipe size and we will confirm the core size before we arrive.
