Five counties

Where we work, and why it matters.

We work out of our yard on Dog Leg Road outside Urbana, covering Champaign, Logan, Miami, Clark, and Union Counties.

That is not an arbitrary radius. Each of these counties has a different health district with a different permit process, and the soil changes noticeably as you move across them: well-draining ground along the Mad River and Great Miami valleys, heavy clay in the eastern townships, tight lakeside lots at Indian Lake. Knowing which is which is most of the job.

Pick your county.

Champaign County, Ohio

Champaign Health District

Our home county. Our yard is on Dog Leg Road just outside Urbana.

County details

Champaign County is our home county. Our shop and equipment yard sit on Dog Leg Road northeast of Urbana, which means most of the county is inside a twenty minute drive for us. When a septic system backs up on a Friday afternoon in Mad River Township, we are not routing a crew in from two counties over.

Dedicated pages

Also serving: Urbana, St. Paris, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, Christiansburg, Woodstock, Cable, Mutual, Rosewood, Terre Haute, Mad River Township, Salem Township, Union Township, Wayne Township

Logan County, Ohio

Logan County Health District

Roughly 25 to 40 minutes north of our yard, a regular part of our weekly route.

County details

Logan County work splits into two very different jobs. Around Indian Lake and Russells Point you have dense, small, older lots close to surface water, where conventional leach fields often will not fit or will not pass. Aeration systems and advanced treatment are common there, and the health district looks closely at anything near the lake.

Dedicated pages

Also serving: Bellefontaine, Russells Point, Lakeview, De Graff, West Liberty, Huntsville, Belle Center, Zanesfield, Rushsylvania, Indian Lake, Quincy

Miami County, Ohio

Miami County Public Health

About 30 to 45 minutes southwest of our yard, along the US-36 and I-75 corridor.

County details

Miami County is where suburban growth meets working farmland. The Troy, Tipp City, and Piqua corridor along I-75 has active residential and light commercial development, while the western and northern townships remain agricultural.

Dedicated pages

Also serving: Troy, Piqua, Tipp City, Covington, Bradford, Pleasant Hill, West Milton, Casstown, Fletcher, Ludlow Falls, Laura

Clark County, Ohio

Clark County Combined Health District

Roughly 25 to 35 minutes south of our yard, straight down US-68.

County details

Clark County is the most urbanized county we serve, and the work reflects it. Inside Springfield most properties are on city sewer, so our work there leans toward excavation, utility installation, core drilling, concrete flatwork, and site prep rather than septic.

Dedicated pages

Also serving: Springfield, New Carlisle, Enon, South Charleston, North Hampton, Catawba, Tremont City, Donnelsville, South Vienna, Medway

Union County, Ohio

Union County Health Department

About 35 to 50 minutes east of our yard via US-36 and SR-4.

County details

Union County has been one of the fastest-growing counties in Ohio, driven by development pushing out from the Columbus metro through Marysville and Plain City. That growth means new construction: building pads, foundation excavation, utility runs, and new septic systems on lots that were corn two years ago.

Dedicated pages

Also serving: Marysville, Plain City, Richwood, Milford Center, Unionville Center, Magnetic Springs, Raymond, Peoria, Irwin, Broadway
